Description
This workshop is to set up to train organizations on the terms of the LGBTQIA+ acronym as well as
provide tools and knowledge on how to make sure the community feels comfortable working in the
workplace. The facilitator will provide data driven facts about the community and how difficult it is for
them to feel like they can come to work as their full selves and not feel judged for it. It will also touch on
Pronouns and how each individual relates to them as well as the proper way to use them when speaking to
an individual. Once a person or persons has completed this workshop they will know the following:
- Understand Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and how it correlates to the
LGBTQIA+ community in the workplace. - Meanings of each letter in the LGBTQIA+ acronym
- Will be culturally competent and gain cultural humility of the community
- Understanding about pronouns and how to use them as well as how they correlate to a
person
